About Us

BCSW is a volunteer organization that works to complement Bergen County law enforcement officials by proactively identifying and preventing crime and anti-Semitic incidents affecting the Jewish community. 

Our leadership team consists of highly experienced individuals trained by top professionals from various facets of government, law enforcement, and Jewish communal organizations. They are skilled in maintaining vigilance, identifying potential issues, reporting criminal and bias incidents, and deterring potential threats.   

BCSW, based upon the National Neighborhood Watch program, requires all members to complete nationally recognized incident management training. Working in close collaboration with local police and law enforcement, we ensure all our protocols and procedures comply with state and local regulations.  

Through our Shomrim car patrol and search & rescue services, we increase the presence, observation, and vigilance of our law enforcement partners for signs of suspicious individuals, vehicles and/ or behavior.
